First week of camp a roaring success

I just finished volunteering for a week at Birchtree Parents Guild Arts and Movement Camp, what a wonderful experience. So many happy kids were working on some pretty serious projects.

The younger kids went for a nature walk every day, finding flowers, jewels, rocks, sticks and weeds to build houses for fairies or gnomes to come and live in.

They ate communal snacks together, shared, played and sang for a couple hours every morning. They finished the week by making waterfall hanging bag planters.

The older kids got busy working on a cobb oven right off the bat, they made stepping stones, played kick the can, ground wheat and made cinnamon roles and a new flower bed.

You can go to the website and sign up for next weeks Arts and Crafts camp sessions now, some spaces are still available.

Believe it or not but this guy is really having fun, the sun was blinding him.
